NANNA HEITMANN

Nanna Heitmann is a Moscow-based photographer who covers the defining events of the day, while at the same time pursuing her own, long-term projects, often focused on the ways people react to and interact with their environment. Heitmann has documented the effects of climate change, and the peatlands of the Congo Basin. Her work appears in international publications including National Geographic and Time magazines, and she is a contributor to the New York Times and the New Yorker. Nanna Heitmann’s honours include the Olivier Rebbot Award and a World Press Photo Award.
