Myriam Boulos

May 29 - August 15, 2026

We are pleased to present the work of Myriam Boulos through her different series, which together weave an intimate and political narrative.

In Nightshift, Myriam Boulos photographs the night in black and white, embracing it as a space similar to revolution.
This exploration continues in What’s Ours, a powerful reflection on the 2019 Lebanese uprising and the Beirut port explosion. Through her images, Boulos captures a collective awakening, as people from different backgrounds came together to challenge systemic corruption and reclaim their voices, in a moment that was at once exhausting, painful, and profoundly transformative.
Her collaboration with Harry Styles further extends her visual language onto an international stage, highlighting the universal resonance of her raw and intimate approach. Finally, in Sexual Fantasies, initiated in the aftermath of the explosion as an act of resistance and survival, Boulos invites women to share and stage their desires on their own terms. This collective project challenges shame, gives space to hidden inner worlds, and confronts the normalization of real violence, forming a shared diary of vulnerability, agency, and emancipation.

Nightshift

"During my first years as a photographer I only took pictures at night, in black and white. I think that the nightlife is similar to revolutions: It is about collectively exteriorizing things that we are taught to bottle up. I took pictures in the streets and in spaces of intimacy, where we are most exposed to both physical and emotional violence."

What's Ours

"In October 2019, Lebanon witnessed an unprecedented popular mobilization that brought together people from different sects, regions, social classes and nationalities, calling for the fall of Lebanon’s political elite.

The uprising was triggered by systemic corruption, repression, growing inequalities and signs of an imminent economic collapse.

Since then, everything has been emotionally and physically draining and confusing but also beautiful, sad and awakening. It all felt as if we were coming out of an abusive relationship to finally say: No, this is not normal."

"January 13, 2020
The revolution is rising again.
Same feeling of big wave swallowing me.
Forgetting everything else.
Not responding to e-mails.
Not looking at myself in the mirror.
It is weird how the place of the body changes in time of crises.
(It is as if I erase its image.
Also I wonder if people are having sex.
A few months ago a friend told me that she needed to have sex so badly that she would wake up in the middle of the night crying.)"

Myriam Boulos x Harry Styles

"In December 2025, Harry Styles’s creative director, contacted me saying that she works for “a major pop star who’s fallen very in love” with my work. A month later, this campaign was out to announce his tour."

Sexual Fantaisies

"I have been wanting to explore sexual fantasies in my work since I discovered my own. A few months after the port explosion –as an act of survival and resistance-, I posted an open call that said: “If you’re a woman or you have been socialized as a woman and you want to share your sexual fantasies, send me an e-mail.” Every time someone contacts me, I ask them where they want to be photographed, what they want to show or hide, and how they want to be represented. Our sexual fantasies consist of entire worlds we are taught to hide and be ashamed of, even though they are not hurting anyone, since they only exist in our minds. Meanwhile, the real violence happening outside our heads, is the one that is normalized when it shouldn’t be. Through personal stories, this collective diary documents the intersectional oppression on our bodies and land. It attempts to create space for our emotions and desires while denouncing different forms of violence, especially Israel’s aggressions on Lebanon and its ongoing genocide in Palestine."
