Description

The road known as "Serpiente de Oro" (Golden Snake) climbing up the Andes from the town of Chagual toward the gold mines of Parcoy, in the La Libertad region of northern Peru. Magnum photographer Werner Bischof died on this road in an accident in May of 1954.
