Description

The first child, Miriam Trito, born in the settlement of Alma, Northern Galilee, Israel, 1951. Her father, Eliezer Trito, holding her up in this iconic image by David 'Chim' Seymour, was in charge of pipeline construction work intended to bring water to the settlement, from a source three miles away. He is seen here with the daughter he had with his wife Miria. Between 1949 and 1955, Chim travelled extensively throughout Europe and Israel on assignment for European and American magazines.
